The Pacific Northwest Herpetological Society (PNWHS) is Seattle’s premiere club for reptile owners and enthusiasts! We serve the greater Seattle Puget Sound area as well as the larger Pacific Northwest. Our members come from a wide area including Seattle, Yakima, and Portland.
Our membership body range(s) of experience varies from : the curious to novice, veterinarians, hobbyists, professionals, and educators. PNWHS is open to anyone, reptile owner or not. Dedicated to the education of it’s members and the public on the conservation, ecology, captive care, and breeding of reptiles and amphibians.
Wholly believing early education to be the best avenue in developing tolerance, appreciation, and honest understanding in what long term care of these animals truly entails.
This was what PNWHS was founded on: educating the public first and foremost.
PNWHS hosts a variety of events during the year, provides educational outreaches, and hosts an informative monthly meeting often with a guest speaker addressing issues and concerns relevant to today’s reptile owner.
PNWHS meets once a month and our meetings are open to everyone. Feel free to join us and find out more about our organization.
